Profanity and abusive language are not permitted in comments or other public discussions.

Comments containing foul, offensive or deliberately disguised profanity may be removed.

Comments that make fun of people who have died, been injured or publicly humiliated are not allowed.

The same applies to comments that wish death, serious injury or harm upon another person.

Keep discussions focused on ideas, articles, mods and useful information rather than attacking other members.

Personal attacks, insults, intimidation, harassment and threats have no place in community discussions.

Disagreement is acceptable. Personal abuse is not.

Hate speech, discriminatory stereotypes and intimidating comments are prohibited.

Content targeting an individual or group because of characteristics such as religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, nationality, age or disability may be removed.

Keep comments related to the article, mod, review, news item or current discussion.

Irrelevant comments, repeated off-topic messages and discussions that deliberately derail a topic may be removed.

Quoting an offensive comment can cause your own response to be removed together with the original content.

If you need to respond to an offensive message, paraphrase the relevant point instead of repeating the offensive material.

You can also report the original comment to the moderators.

If you need to communicate something directly to another member, consider using private messaging instead of posting personal conversations publicly.

Public comments should remain useful to the wider community.

Do not publish another person's private information without permission.

This includes private contact information such as:

• Private email addresses
• Phone numbers
• Home or private addresses
• Private information about family members

Creating multiple accounts to bypass restrictions, moderation actions or bans is not permitted.

A temporary ban means you should take a break. A permanent ban means you are no longer permitted to participate using the affected account.

Do not intentionally fabricate information, impersonate another person or falsely claim an affiliation with a person, company or organization.

Misleading or deceptive comments may be removed.

Do not post material that infringes another party's copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property rights.

When sharing information about mods, respect the original creator and provide appropriate attribution whenever available.

Spam and unsolicited commercial content are not allowed.

This includes:

• Affiliate marketing links
• Referral codes
• Junk mail
• Chain letters
• Pyramid or multi-level marketing schemes
• Unsolicited commercial advertisements

Do not post links to Not Safe For Work (NSFW) websites without clearly warning other users.
