Amtrak P42DC 50th Anniversary- the year 2021 serving as America’s national intercity passenger railroad – and in celebration, Amtrak rolled out a fleet of six specially painted locomotives which have delighted travelers and railroad enthusiasts alike. And now, a beautiful selection of Amtrak’s special livery diesels comes to Train Simulator! Five of Amtrak’s 50th Anniversary commemorative locomotives are General Electric P42DC diesels, the stylish and powerful 4,200-horsepower diesel that has served as the standard-bearer of Amtrak diesel-powered services over the past quarter-century -- and Train Simulator’s popular P42DC is dressed in each of the five striking and historic schemes.
