BMW M3 E36 1997 - debuted in February 1992 and hit dealerships in November of the same year. It was the first M3 equipped with a six-cylinder engine. The high-tech sports version of the BMW 3 Series compact cars from BMW M GmbH. The M3 models are based on the E30, E36, E46, E90/E92/E93 and F80 3 Series. Key differences from the "standard" 3 Series include a more powerful engine, improved suspension, more aggressive and aerodynamic bodywork, and multiple "M"/Motorsport line-up accents both inside and out.
