Adriana County Railroad for TSC - in this collection, in addition to the route, I also included various scenarios from the Steam Workshop, removing the previous distribution, a detailed description of the add-ons and requirements for their work under spoilers. A fictional American location, evoking the feel of railroading in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The line was once part of a larger network, but time has led to the abandonment of some branches, leaving a core operational line. The route is a joint venture between the Burlington Northern and Union Pacific, with the Adriana County Railroad shortline operating its own section of the track. This setup provides for a variety of different operational possibilities.
Features Mod:
- Diverse Operations:The route is designed to offer a wide range of operational challenges. Players can engage in:
- Mainline Freight: Running freight trains between the two main exchange yards.
- Shortline Switching: Performing switching duties on the Adriana County Railroad's branch line, serving various industries.
- Quarry Operations: Hauling rock and other materials from the quarry on the ACRR branch.
- Wayfreight: Servicing local industries and team tracks along the route.
- Realistic Setting: The route is praised for its high level of detail and realism, from the trackwork to the surrounding scenery. It captures the charm of rural railroading and the "shortline feel" that many players enjoy.
- Era-Appropriate: The route is set in a specific historical period (late 1970s/early 1980s), making it an excellent fit for classic American locomotives and rolling stock from that era, such as ALCo C424s, EMD GP9s, and GP30s.
- Detailed Scenarios: The mod includes various scenarios that challenge players with tasks like assembling trains, performing complex switching, and hauling freight over the line. Many scenarios are designed to require the player to think strategically, often providing a work order and leaving the player to figure out the best way to accomplish the task.
- Route Dimensions: The main line is approximately 18 miles long, with a branch line of just over 8 miles. The maximum line speed is 40 mph, with lower limits for turnouts and sidings, which adds to the operational challenge.
- Active Community: The route has a dedicated community of players who have created their own scenarios and repaints for the route, further expanding its replayability and content.
