BR 628-2 - is a detailed add-on developed by RailTraction, designed to bring the German diesel multiple unit (DMU) BR 628-2 into the virtual rail environment. The BR 628-2 is a two-car diesel multiple unit consisting of a motorized carriage (BR 628) and a non-powered control car (BR 928), representing an evolution of the earlier BR 628 series developed in the 1970s. Introduced in the early 1990s, the real-world BR 628-2 was built between 1992 and 1996, with 309 units produced, making it a cornerstone of regional passenger services on non-electrified lines across Germany.
